The PURPOSE
TIU Holdings Ltd. was set in 2005 as an investment vehicle for development of businesses in Central - Eastern Europe. Entrepreneurial by nature, the investors have considered Romania as the center of their operations, but developed in time also businesses in other Eastern Europe countries.
The purpose of the investors is to develop a diversified portfolio of businesses in Central Eastern Europe.
We beleive that technology is continously enhancing the quality of life and we favour investing in innovation and in implementation of technology.
The INVESTORS
The investment structure was set up by the founder of UTI Group of companies - Tiberiu Urdareanu, on the occasion of starting the partnership with AIG Investment Fund - later on replaced by Pinebridge Investment Fund.
The structure was designed by KPMG and meant to accommodate the critical demands of AIG Investment Fund regarding fiscal optimization and Common Law appliance.
After several transactions which happened in 2013 and 2017-2018, the actual shareholders of TIU Holdings Ltd. are Lucia and Sorana Urdareanu.
The COMPANIES:
- UTV Ltd.: a very successful music TV chanell, sold in 2013
- UTI NETCITY HOLDINGS: a very successful investment in fiber optic infrastructure, sold in 2017
- UTI REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT: a reputed office buiding, sold in 2018
-UTI HOLDINGS BV: a Duch company, holding around 20 companies in Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Moldavia involved mainly in technology, civil engineering and services.
